If you vote at the polls…
Polling Places are open from 7am to 8pm on Tuesday.

You can also vote at City Hall any time during these hours:
- Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Election Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The City Hall Voting Center is located on the ground floor of San Francisco City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 48. Directions can be found here or see the map below.
If you vote by absentee mail...
If you have already mailed your ballot, you can find the status of your absentee ballot here.
If you haven’t mailed your ballot, you can drop it off at any California polling location. In San Francisco, you can return your absentee ballot to City Hall or any San Francisco Polling Place. Use this tool to find the closest polling location for any address in California.
Note that your ballot will be counted if it is received by Friday, so you can drop it in the mail on Tuesday.

You can check your registration status here.
You can still register to vote in person at the City Hall Voting Center now through Election Day. Registration is not available at polling places on Election Day, so make sure to go to the City Hall Voting Center. Hours are as follows:
- Monday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday 11/6, Election Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you are homeless...
You can register at the City Hall Voting Center using a cross street. When filling out the registration form, just put a cross street (e.g. 18th St. and Harrison St.) where you typically reside where it says "home address" on the form. For mailing address, you must enter a mailing address. If you don’t have a mailing address you may use General Delivery, 391 Ellis Street, SF, CA 94102.
